There will be a time when we look in the mirror and the character looking back is displaying symptoms of losing that dazzling full layer upon layer of hair that developed into a considerable ingredient of our identity. The initial response will be astonishment perhaps followed by some exploration of possible ways to isolate the potential reasons for the hair loss.
The majority of experts in the discipline of balding suggest that a blood test or scalp biopsy should be done to determine if underlying circumstances such as elevated blood pressure, diabetes, lupus or any other medical conditions are the cause.
The scalp biopsy will make known the dimension of the hair follicles when viewed beneath a microscope. Dwindling hair follicles are a significant clue in reducing the possible reasons for hair loss. The leading possible cause being androgenetic alopecia.
Androgenetic alopecia, popularly referred to as male and female pattern balding, is the hair loss source for an astounding nine out of ten situations. Its final consequence is to put an end to hair follicles making new growth unfeasible without some kind of interference.

Postpartum depression (PPD) Postpartum Anxiety (PPA) have become a national epidemic in the United States, affecting 15%-20% of all new mothers, or about 600,000-800,000 women annually. (1) It is now estimated that over 30 million Americans are on antidepressant or anti-anxiety medications. (2) The majority of this 30 million are women who have one or more children. The chance of suffering from PPD increases with each successive child. (3)
The most common medical treatment for postpartum depression is SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) antidepressant drugs. Postpartum Anxiety Disorder is most commonly treated by the benzodiazepine family of drugs like Valium, Ativan, Xanax, and Klonopin. Combination reuptake inhibitors for both serotonin and norepinephrine (SNRIs) are also commonly used in postpartum depression. In the case of postpartum psychosis, antipsychotic drugs are used and are immediately necessary. Many women are now given samples of SSRIs as they are leaving the maternity ward. Most medical sources believe that PPD is caused by an imbalance of brain chemistry and that pharmaceutical intervention is the treatment of choice. While a certain percentage of women suffering from PPD do need pharmaceutical assistance, these are far fewer than are actually receiving them. Recent Meta-studies show this to be true. While it is clear that some women with PPD do need and benefit from pharmaceutical intervention, it is our experience that an integrative approach yields the best results.
Postpartum Anxiety Disorder is mostly treated
The most common Postpartum Depression symptoms include the following:

Cardio | September 25th, 2010
One important aspect of fat loss that you cannot ignore is cardio training. By cardio training, I don’t just simply mean, hope on a bike or treadmill and crank out hours of low intensity, boring cardio sessions. That’s an absolute waste of time. In this article, I’m going to show you the most effective cardio training method that will turn your body into a fat burning furnace.
Everyone knows that activity burns calories, and this is why so many people spend hours and hours on a cardio machine. While they have the right idea that cardio training helps burn calories, they’re going about it in the wrong way by doing low intensity, long duration cardio sessions. You probably see many people who spend hours on a cardio machine; however, they still find themselves in similar shape with little to no progress to show for their hard work.
So what are they doing wrong?
There are two main points when it comes to effective cardio training sessions: 1) timing of the cardio session, and 2) intensity and duration of the cardio session. So, let’s talk a bit about these two key points.
Why do cardio first thing in the morning?
The reason is simply, you get the most effective fat burning cardio sessions first thing in the morning. This is the most optimal time to do cardio because during the previous night, your body has gone through a 8 to 10 hour fast, and because of this your glycogen stores are low. By doing cardio first thing in the morning, your already low glycogen stores gets used up quickly, and fat is then mobilized as the source of energy.

acne | September 22nd, 2010
Acne is a quite common skin problem that affects people in a large number everywhere in the world. And, it is a false impression that it attacks only youngsters, adults are also liable to this problem as it could possibly happen at any age. Some acne sufferers could experience annoying darkish spots, while others could have to abide the pain of symptoms like scars.
The acne scar treatment is possible. There are different phases of acne scarring and the acne scar treatment also depends upon the particular stage.
What Causes of Acne Scar?
The inflammation caused by acne can typically leave wounds in the skin. As acne wounds heal, an abundance of collagen can get left behind, forming acne scars that make the skin appear uneven.
Acne may also cause submit-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), a skin discoloration left behind after an infected acne wound has caused over-production of melanin in the skin.

Alternative medicine is a major enterprise in India. In November 2009, the government’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced the steps it would be taking to promote ‘Indian Systems of Medicine’ in the country, including spending Rs. 922 crore on the promotion of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy). Major claims have recently been made for alternative medicine – such as that Ayurveda can be used for anaemia or ano-rectal ailments, and that homeopathy can be used to prevent or cure swine flu, or to treat Aids and malaria.
In an era characterised by evidence-based science and politics, should official endorsement be given to remedies that cannot be scientifically proven? Is alternative medicine a form of quackery, which puts patients at risk? Or is the interest in alternative medicine a positive sign that we are beginning to move beyond a too-narrow approach to disease, towards recognising the more subtle relationship between mind and body and the need to find holistic cures? Do traditional medicines play an important role in preventive medicine, contributing to a more affordable and effective healthcare system than the Western medical model?
The debate in context:
What is complementary and alternative medicine (CAM)?
Many discussions about alternative medicine today take place under the umbrella term ‘complementary and alternative medicine’ (CAM). This implies that alternative medicine should not be seen solely as something that can be used instead of conventional medicine, but can and should be used alongside it. CAM refers to treatments that differ from conventional, or ‘allopathic’, medicine – medicine based on scientific testing that is taught to medical professionals. Systems of CAM have often evolved apart from and earlier than the conventional medical approach used in the Western world. Some such systems, such as homeopathy and naturopathy, have developed in Western cultures; others, such as traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, have developed outside of the West.

Myths, Lies and Propaganda about Exercise
By Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret.
Throughout my career in the military I have come across a variety of tall tales about eating and exercise. The extent of misinformation is so great that you’d think we were dealing with Cold War propaganda. If a lie is told frequently enough it is treated as the truth. Here are some of the myths, lies and propaganda about exercise.
Exercise MYTH # 1: The best time to exercise is in the morning, because it jump-starts your metabolism.
The TRUTH: Exercise anywhere, anytime.
The best time to exercise is the time that fits your schedule. That can be morning, noon or nighttime. The enemy wants to rob you of any thought of flexibility so that you just surrender and do not exercise enough. Morning exercise will expedite the wake-up process, and you will feel energized. Mid-day exercise will energize and refresh you and help you overcome that afternoon grogginess. Nighttime exercise is an amazing stress-management tool that will get that blood circulation back up so you are really infused with the energy to enjoy the evening much more. Any morning versus evening metabolism, difference is insignificant compared to the overall benefit of exercising. It is propaganda from the enemy. This myth is busted.
Exercise MYTH # 2: If you do not exercise, muscle will turn into fat.
The TRUTH: Muscle does not and cannot turn to fat.

Meditation, not to be confused with mediatation, is an ancient art form that has been practiced for centuries, with origins in the Eastern part of the word; India being a prime example. The basic use of meditation is as a form of healing which does not require the ingestion of any medications, relying only on the individuals mind and how it may be finely tuned to achieve the desired effects on both mind and body. The purpose of meditation is to transcend “normal” thinking and elevate oneself into a higher state of awareness and consciousness, achieve a relaxed state of mind, and be able to clearly focus.
Meditation covers a wide range of spiritual and psycho-physical practices and is not limited to religious traditional practice. The common denominator among all types of meditation, however, is the discipline involved – anyone going into a regime of meditation needs to know the level of discipline that will be required.
As has just been mentioned, meditation does have a number of religious roots including forms developing from the practice of the Baha’i faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism , Judaism, Jainism amongst many others, and more recently, from New Age movements.
The practice of meditation can take one of several forms including the focus on a single object or process such as a mantra. Meditation can also be performed while walking or performing or engaged in a simple repetitive task. The object in all cases is to focus and concentrate while minimizing distractions in order to achieve the desired goal of inner peace and self awareness, transcending the mundane cares that usually bog down a good number of us.

Hair loss affects many people and there are some interesting approaches to fighting the common medical condition often referred to as androgenic alopecia. Once age related hair loss begins making its appearance, people fear that with the speed they are losing their hair, they might soon become bald. Depression and self-guilt can arise from the anxiety caused by the increasing hair loss shedding. For a long time there have not been many viable options to people going through hair loss and often think nothing can be done. Recent advancements in hair loss research and scientific experiments have helped develop new approaches to hair loss and going bald. The drug minoxidil was hailed as the miracle cure when it was released under the trademarked name Rogaine. The FDA approved hair loss product has become the number one selling treatment for androgenic alopecia in America.
Many people prefer natural or organic focused attention on their hair loss and a growing demand for natural hair loss products is providing new products for consumers. Hair loss is often thought to be due to the build up a chemical called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is a derivative of testosterone a natural occurring hormone that has many effects in the body. Saw palmetto a natural growing plant originating in Florida has been shown to interact with the DHT enzyme reaction at the hair follicle to possibly help stop hair loss.
Natural remedies to cure baldness are highly effective and there are no side effects of them on you. Other medical drugs use strong chemicals which harm our hair in more than one way but in the natural cure for baldness all the medicines given to you will be made from organic substances.
